What does it mean when a paid bill status says “Amount on Hold”?

Modified on Thu, 13 Aug at 2:34 PM

When a bill is marked as Paid but shows the status “Amount on Hold”, it means the payment was successfully received, but the funds are not yet eligible for payout to your bank account.

Why does this happen?

This status typically appears when your payouts are being withheld for any of the following reasons:

  • Your account is not yet approved (e.g. you haven’t selected a pricing plan or completed activation).

  • Expired ID used during onboarding.

  • Expired commercial license.

  • Incorrect beneficiary bank account details (e.g. wrong name or IBAN).

What should I do?

Don’t worry — your money is safe in your Tap account.

To resolve the issue:

  • Reach out to our Merchant Experience Agents via the live chat on the website.

  • Provide any missing or updated documentation if requested.

Once everything is in order, your payouts will resume automatically.
