How can I start accepting Apple Pay on my website or mobile app?

Modified on Mon, 19 Feb at 8:55 AM

There are a couple of different ways you can integrate Apple Pay as a payment method on your mobile or website, if Apple Pay is enabled in the country your business is based in.

This is currently only enabled for businesses based in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar however, we are working hard on making this available in other countries within the Middle East where Apple Pay is active, so do keep checking back!

If your business is based in one of the above mentioned countries, you can follow the guide below depending on how you’ve integrated the payment gateway:

Checkout SDK integration guide

Our checkout SDK integration comes with Apple Pay already enabled and no extra configuration needed from your end. So if you’re integrating goSell with our checkout SDK, you can just request for Apple Pay to be enabled and if it’s supported in your country, we’ll enable it for you instantly.

Mobile SDK integration guide

If you’re integrating our payment gateway within your mobile app with our SDKs, you need to follow the steps below:

  1. Request the Tap team for a Certificate Signing Request (CSR)

  2. Go to your Apple Developer account and create a merchant identifier as well as a payment processing certificate (.cer). You can find the step-by-step instructions on how to create these in our SDK documentation.

  3. Once you’ve created these, share your .cer file, merchant identifier, and app bundle ID with the Tap team.

  4. Enable Apple Pay capability within your project from Xcode and select the merchant identifier.

  5. You’re done!

API integration

You could integrate Apple Pay using our raw APIs as well. This can be used in combination with another type of integration or by itself. To use the API, follow the same steps as above but only until you provide your .cer file, merchant identifier, and app bundle ID with the Tap team.

You can also check our documentation page, to see the information that needs to be passed to create a token ID for Apple Pay and try sending a request yourself.

If you have any other questions about enabling Apple Pay, you can always ask our customer experience agents through the live chat available on the Tap website.
